This video clip shows a dozen of police officers, both in uniform and in plain clothes, fighting a woman of no physical strength. Signing with China a lease agreement of the national land with a 99-year term is not different from selling it. It’s a slow selling procedure, because 99 years is almost the lifetime of three generations. What will happen to the Vietnamese, then? In their plan to make the people rich and the nation strong, they have the right to open the national economic system to foreign investors, but renting their land for 99 years is selling the national land. It was painful to witness the police physically beat the people, only because they have the courage to rebel for the sake of their next generations, against the unfair rule of a dirty regime and its beastly leaders who are feeding on their people. As a result, now the people are those who grieve and bear losses.
I don’t need all the “likes” on facebook, but please speak up about the unfair treatment endured by our Vietnamese people, and please unveil the deteriorating nature of the communist government. I protest the land lease agreement signed with China even if it were for only one day.

Who is excessive? Who is violent? Who is chaotic? In case somebody’s arrest, that should be of the right person and for the right charge, it can’t be the use of force against anybody, in any way, especially not against a 10 grader in high school.
This is the case of Nguyen Quoc Duy Khang, resident at village Tien Hiep, ward Tien Loi, PT, now a ten grader at Phan Chu Trinh school, aged 16. At about 9:30 pm. Khang had been eating out with a classmate and was on the way home. When getting to Tran H Dao street, he saw a crowd causing a traffic jam, so he walked his bike on the pavement to see what was going on. Then from nowhere he was kicked off his bike and taken away, together with his class mate, Chau Thi Tuyet Trinh (both are members of Youth union, students with quite good records both in grades and conduct.) Both Khang and Chau were dragged away and beaten, resulting in scratched knees and broken glasses. The more they pled not guilty, the more they were beaten with clubs. Châu was kicked at his genitals. At the people’s committee office, the cruel beating continued on his back and head with a club. All his money and his cell phone were confiscated.
At 12:30 am, they were transported to a camp and on the way he continued to be beaten. The stages of being caught, beaten and detained started at past 11:00 pm on Jun 10 and continued till 6:00 pm on Jun 11. He was then released without any explanation.
We denounce all violence against children. So in this case, I think we expect the local authorities and the military of Phan Thiet to give reasons for their brutality. They should not wonder why the people have become violent. As mothers, fathers, relatives, just ask yourselves how you would react if you found yourselves in this situation.
=> If my children happened to be in the crowd, I would bomb the police station and the people’s committee office. I don’t think last night’s violence would be enough. (Please share this comment).

… Please go to Facebook Dung Phi Ho and Do Thanh Van. You’ll see why we were beaten right at the gate of Bach Khoa ward, right in front of a large crowd. You all can see it ,,, There is even a policeman. I’m sorry, I’m in pain and can’t keep calm. My hands and feet are trembling. The images you can see may be not very clear. Those are some people and some of our teammates at the site to support us and witness this event. This is a home address, this is the address of a coffee shop. We were on our bikes and were beaten right here. A large crowd is present here. Some are curious to know why we were beaten in the middle of the day, right at the gate of the police office of Bach Khoa ward. So, please go to Facebook, find the Dung Phi Ho and Nguyen Thanh Van site, you’ll know who we are and why we were beaten. What you’ve seen and heard today may be things you don’t know yet, but you will know it soon. Sooner or later, the historical truth will be revealed. The fallen soldiers on Garma island of the Truong Sa Isles sacrificed their lives to defend our nation. But precisely because they were willing to fight and make sacrifices, their superiors – the brutal traitors in service of China – gave orders that they should not fire at our enemies. Can you imagine that! Not firing at the enemies, resulting in the deaths of 60 human lives.

Everybody, get to the street. They are chasing me at any price. I am now standing on a balcony, 2 meters above the ground. Please, share your opinions. These policemen only know about evil power.
This is where I’m standing, a distance from the ground. I’m just a person curious about the demonstration; yet, they chase me. Compatriots, share the news. Share that pretty image of the Vietnamese government. This is what happens to a person curious about the demonstration. They put pressure on the people until they lose their nation, then lose their face.
Look, compatriots, look at those communist traitors. Congress votes to sell the nation. The people protest in peace. They chase even those who just watch the demonstration, they press them to death. Comrades, share your ideas. At the last resort, I will die today. If you don’t share, people will still know it. The Vietnamese have lost their nation. The government is abusing their power. They’ve sold away their nation. They chase even the one who watches the demonstration against the Act of Special Areas. Compatriots come to have a look at the traitors. Those Vietnamese traitors who suppress peaceful demonstrators. Compatriots, look at the face of the government. Is that the congress that represents the people? Such is our party and our government, those that sell our nation to the Chinese and press our people to death. Han Vu, I can’t keep calm anymore. Those traitors are pressing our people to death. Death will come, sooner or later.
Compatriots, share this video clip, which records the real face of this government. We each have only one life while the life of our nation is eternal. The nation of Vietnam can’t be lost in the hands of those enemies. Today one person or one million people may lose their lives but the nation will continue to exist eternally. Our people must exist eternally and can’t fall into the enemies’ hands. Those Vietnamese traitors have sold our nation to the Chinese. They want to arrest me and take me to their station. But I’m determined to resist. I’d rather die than fall into their hands. Down with the traitor congress.
Please, share this video clip. I am now on the last story of a tall building. If arrested, I will let myself fall to the ground. I will not allow myself to be caught by the enemies. There are so many of them down there. They all come to besiege me alone. I just come here to watch and record the demonstrators without ever holding a banner or raising my voice. Yet, they still want to arrest me. Among those who keep track of the demonstrators, one recognized me and reported me to the police. So I have to run for my life up to this tall building across from the Vincom Center building. I am not familiar with this area of Saigon. All around me are lots of policemen, both covered and in uniform. I don’t know why they try to arrest me, but they obviously do.
Today the authorities have revealed their true traitor’s face. There is no more to say. We should not yield to them. For the survival of our nation, we are willing to die.
Han Vu, I am now in this tall building. I can’t answer your call because I must cling to the balcony with one hand and hold my cell phone in the other hand. As soon as the enemy steps in, I will let myself fall onto the ground. My death – if I die – can raise the conscience of all Vietnamese people and ring alarm to the United Nations, who will intervene on behalf of the Vietnamese whose nation is being cut to pieces and sold to the Chinese and whose government is using violence to suppress the demonstrators and those who come to watch and record the demonstration. I am going to use the images and voices as evidence to the whole world that they suppressed the peaceful demonstrators who request their basic rights as stated in the Constitution. They still use violence against the demonstrators.
Today the whole world will see the true face of the communist government who sell their nation. Yet, in the world, they keep pretending to follow the laws about human rights: freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom of expression. But, as I told you, their acts do not come in accordance with their words. Please share. Those who can speak foreign languages such as English, French, German, please share this clip to denounce to the world what the Vietnamese government has done to its people.
Waves of brutal policemen (both covered and in uniform) have suppressed the peaceful demonstrators. Who do they protect, China or Vietnam?
Can the people tolerate the idea of losing Vietnam’s properties in the air, at seas and on land?
The people demonstrate in peace and in return get clubs, sticks, guns, merciless beating. That is our nation. They call themselves the People’s army, but who do they side with? Take a good look. They certainly take side with the Chinese. They are lackeys of the Chinese, no longer Vietnamese. My life and your lives are now insignificant, but this nation with a culture of thousands of years can’t be destroyed.
We all die, my friends.
If I fall into their hands and die, I’ll kill you all. I’ll wait for you all in hell.
They are all down there, If I leave this building now, I’ll be caught, my cell phone will be confiscated and my voice will be buried like other arrested demonstrators. Patriots’ voices are always buried if they are arrested. I’d rather die today to raise the consciousness of people all over the world and of the indifferent Vietnamese who have been blinded by the Communist party’s deceiving policy.
If my death can touch the Vietnamese people, they will wake up from their drowsing state and will work together in defense of the nation. We have been making sacrifices for thousands of years not to have a traitor congress that betrays the nation, that ignores the people, that has no morality and fulfills no duty to the ancestors,
Look at the faces of those lackeys down there with guns in hand, just to threaten a citizen with a cell phone in hand. They want to arrest a citizen that does nothing wrong, but watches a demonstration. This link should be shared all over the world.
It’s 9:59 pm of Jun 10, 2018. This my video clip recorded in Saigon, VN while I am chased by the police for watching a demonstration. The peaceful demonstrators against the legal act that gives away our land to the communist Chinese have been cruelly beaten and arrested. The authorities even chase those who come just to watch, myself among them. I wonder where the others are now. I got into this building and now I am determined to resist until I die. I will go down to the ground floor only at the presence and sponsorship of an international organization. Otherwise, I will resist till I die.
Thanks, Han Vu.
You are taking death too seriously. If this nation falls into the Chinese communists’ hands, you’ll die anyway.
There are worries that the Vietnamese in Vietnam will be killed for their internal organs. Vietnamese laws are not valid in that special area. If the Vietnamese are arrested and taken there for their internal organs, they will be defenseless. Even the Vietnamese Communist Party would not be able to help. We and our descendants will die, anyway. Sooner or later. If I die today, it will be the time when Vietnam has not fallen into China’s hands. It’s better than dying when our nation has been invaded by the Chinese, The Vietnamese are still put into sleep by their drinking habit, their life of pleasures, their pursues of money. None of them are concerned about the nation. In the past, our ancestors made sacrifices to keep this land shaped like an S for us.
Congress is about to press the button to sell three most important areas for the Chinese to manage in their own way. Those Vietnamese who voice their protest will be arrested, suppressed and beaten. That is how the police and the authorities work. Those are people who live on the tax you pay every day. Is there any morality left? The law of VN is the law of the jungle, the law of the powerful. The police are everywhere in the streets to stop and beat the demonstrators who are proceeding peacefully. Everybody, look at this! Look carefully at the traitors’ faces. They suck bones and blood from this country, and suck all its natural resources. Then they cut the country into pieces and put them on sale,
As they pass the legal act of special areas, don’t think it’s limited to three. You should expect other provinces to also yield land to China.
Just a case like Formosa or Clearman, or Tay Nguyen will be enough to devastate this country. With more special areas, I wonder if VN can survive. But more importantly, how many more years can we live before we end up being killed for internal organs, right on our land?
In their special regions, Vietnamese laws are not applicable. Those Vietnamese who are caught and taken there for their internal organs can’t be rescued. What will the world do if Congress presses the button to sell the nation, but its people have no reaction from the people? You should raise your voice, my friends.
You should ask the world to intervene to protect our people, for the current Congress is no longer representative of the people. Congress is now abusing their power. The act of special areas will be passed and the whole police force, covered and in uniform alike, are getting ready to suppress the peaceful voice of the people. They protest peacefully but are still arrested and beaten. Even the people who watch the demonstrations are chased by the police. Is there justice in Vietnam, my friends? Can we call that human life?
That is Vietnam of the 21st century.
All dissidents are killed, suppressed and arrested with no exceptions. Peace in Vietnam is fake, deceiving and superficial. People entertain themselves on human corpses and at the expense of their people and ancestors. The Vietnamese have no feelings. Can you see in this world any people who are more indifferent to their own nation? Our long history of heroic defense for our nation has been buried through distractions and deceptions. The people are still drowsing in ignorance, still in awe regarding this communist party, this party, a party with no concern about the people, a party of suppression, a party that invites the Chinese to come and damage the country and suppress the people.
Residents of Saigon, please contact embassies about the issue of human rights in Saigon, let them be aware of this Vietnamese citizen chased by the police up to this balcony. The street is crowded with policemen, for just one purpose: arresting an unarmed individual. Nguyen Phu Trong, if I ever survive, xxxxx If I ever get home safely, I’ll kill your whole family. Who do you call “traitor”? I am the one who is defending this nation. Damn you all! You all may eat excrements of the Chinese invaders. How dare you call me a traitor? Don’t you know that I am defending the nation for you all. Can you find among the “traitors” anyone who sells the nation? Damn you! Go and eat excrement! Sons of a bitch!
They are bringing in fire trucks.
Hurry up! Share the news if you know how to contact the embassies in Saigon. Don’t allow the communists to pressure the Vietnamese people to death.
We must protect our sovereignty. I don’t violate our constitution or laws.
The authorities use force and power to suppress the people. To suppress the peaceful conduct of the people.
Those who live abroad, please share the news. Just watch what the Vietnamese authorities are doing.
Stop.
They are bringing in fire engines. If they press me, I will jump off the balcony.
Please contact the US embassy in Saigon and the human rights organization for assistance. If, right here, the communist party puts me under pressure, I will die right here. They have already killed many, and they will kill many more. At any price, they will destroy everything to sell our nation. They won’t listen to any citizen’s voice. We fight in a non-violent way, we beg them, we just ask for our right to be citizens. We want our voice heard. We are volunteers of the assistance line.
OK, just watch. Lives of all Vietnamese are not insignificant. The Vietnamese nationality can’t be sold by the (Vietnamese) congress. The 4000-year-old Vietnamese culture can’t be sold by the puppet authorities. If we are all ready to die together …
The Vietnamese are now cornered. Our nation has been sold away. Congress has sold away our nation. Keep your indifference, if you want. Tomorrow, you will find yourself in crematoriums of the Chinese who want your internal organs. They will kill the Vietnamese at any cost. By means of poison, kidnapping and operations for internal organs. They are willing to operate their own people for internal organs. They will not mind doing the same thing to our people
Those are the policemen who live on our tax payment. They are serving the authorities who are serving the communist Chinese, not our people.
I, myself – a person who is recording the event – am a target of their chase.
Please, look at the tall building with the proud red flag on top. That is the image of the peaceful Saigon. But that peace is fake. They have cut Vietnam into small pieces to deceive the people. They don’t sell our nation as a whole, but in small pieces. This year, the legal act of special areas will be passed. Then, it will be not only three special areas at three important locations, three crucial military locations. Other provinces will establish more special areas, just to sell them to the Chinese. The Chinese will bring in their army, their police and their weapons.
They will apply their laws in these special areas and leave no room for the Vietnamese laws. They conduct arms trading, organize a black society to exert full control the areas.
Crematoriums will be built in those special regions, where they are going to kill people for internal organs. The Vietnamese are going to die. They are going to move their people in. Our nation will be going through a “blood-change” procedure, where the Chinese will take over.
The demonstrators are non-violent people. I myself am not a supporter. Today, I’m here to record the images of the demonstrators and will keep them as evidence to be shown to the world that our people will respect laws, respect the Constitution and follow a non-violent procedure until the day Congress presses the approval button to the legal act of special areas. Our people are non-violent, yet they have been arrested, suppressed and beaten. I myself, who just watch the demonstration, have been chased and pressed to take refuge in a tall building. It’s because I don’t want to be put under arrest. Those policemen, both covert and in uniform, have been chasing me this evening. They have revealed their real identity of traitors. They no longer serve the Vietnamese people, no longer protect Vietnam’s sovereignty. They just defend the Chinese government.
Hello, hello, who’s that?
I am at Vin.com center but I don’t know what kind of building it is. Just get to Vin.com Center, you’ll see me right at the balcony. Ask passers-by for directions to Vin.com Center. As you get to the place, you’ll see me at the balcony. They are putting air into a buoy, in case I want to jump.
Go away! Close the door! Don’t press me! You are pressing me! Close the door! If you still have some Vietnamese blood in your veins, you should not press me. Some Vietnamese AND left in you. You can’t be my compatriots. You are defending the Chinese. Congress is selling the nation and are you defending them? What am I doing? Am I selling the nation?
Remember, I’m just watching what is going on. The only thing you can do is put pressure on the people. You can’t kill the Vietnamese spirit. I told you, you can kill Vietnamese lives, but not the Vietnamese spirit. Get it away! Right now! You can’t kill the Vietnamese. You policemen, go away. Go away, you traitor who sell away the nation. Damned you. After such a long history, are you going to sell it?
It’s impossible to keep calm, my friends. They put such pressure on our people that we can’t keep calm any more. They are putting deadly pressure on our people.
We have rules of law … but they cling to power … We are not the 196 Congress members to be arrested.
Down to the traitor Congress.
Tài liệu 11: TT THÍCH THÔNG LAI ĐỐI THOẠI VỚI CHÚ RUỘT- TRƯỚC HIỆN TÌNH ĐẤT NƯỚC P1
Translation: My Linh Ngo:
Salutation to all of Vietnamese people in the country and abroad, I would like to introduce a little bit about myself. I am Thich Thong Lai or simply call me Thay Thong Lai. I was a monk when I was nine years old. I have been practicing, teaching, and instructing Buddhism for more than sixty years. My original temple is located in Renton, Washington State and others temple are located in California, Texas, Florida and Youth Center in Olympia.
I have met a few senators to discuss the current conditions of Vietnam through Worldwide Network Television. The information for the meeting is still editing and hasn’t share to the public yet. I would like to invite all of you to watch the video later on YouTube, Facebook, and on Tam Nguyen Temple System Website. I couldn’t sleep last night after receiving a phone call from my uncle who is my father youngest brother from Vietnam. He is currently a retired high ranking communist leader in Vietnam. My uncle and one of the famous Monk Master from Vietnam advise me to stop against the communist party by livestream on YouTube, Facebook, and lecturing. My uncle said that he is crossing my name out of the Nguyen family pedigree since I am continuing against the government. The Monk Master advises me to continue practice my religion only by chanting, meditation, teaching people doing good things, and not involving in politic. This means when I die, I will follow Buddha Country. In this video, I would like to focus on three main points: a brief history of my family and why part of my family members such as my uncle is serving the current communist party, rejecting the advisory of the Monk Master for not against the communist party, and the explanations and discussion to prove to my uncle about the current corruption of the communist regime.
I would like to give a brief history about my family so that everyone can have a general understand and give an explanation why some of my relatives back home currently are serving for the communist party. My family was living right at Hien Luong Bridge at seventeen latitude. This bridge was the separation between the North and South Vietnam during the war. My house located about 2000 feet from the bridge. My father was moving to the South at an early age and met my mother at Bien Hoa City belong to Dong Nai Province. I remember that location very well since it was a very famous battle during the Vietnam War. The battle name was called “The Red Fire Summer” in 1972. There was a small town call “Dong Ha” was taken over by the communist after the battle. That was the reason why my family was divided and my uncle had to join to the communist party. He has served the party for forty six years. He retires now and two of his children are currently high ranking leader for the party. My father was the main person contacting my uncle back to the day. I don’t remember my uncle well since my family was living at Bien Hoa City.
I also would like briefly to introduce about my own family. I have four sisters and we became monk as a very young age. My mother passed away when she was young. She was also a monk and was living in the temple. Past to the day, she usually assisted the temple with paperwork, paying tax property for the temple. During that time, the temple was secretly recruited a few communist monks and my mother didn’t know. She then got arrest by Ngo Dinh Diem government for betraying and hiding the communist monk. She was tortured to death for not release any of the information. I was crying during that time, but not completely understanding what was happening. My father took me to the temple and had me to stay the temple from that day. With that past history, people would think that I would serve the communist party or at least not against them. Therefore, I totally object that idea and am continuing against the communist party until the day I die. I will give more detail explanations later in the video.
To respond to my uncle Monk Master above, I totally object of his suggestion. I became the monk when I was nine years old. I remembered that my father took me to the temple and had the temple master doing a ceremony for me before becoming a monk. I bended down to my knee to thank you my parents who have raised me. I have to keep the promise that I must consider all elderly men as my father, all elderly women as my mother and people are younger than me as my children. I must carry this promise for the rest of my life. As a monk, I must have caring for all people, not for myself and my family. I have to sacrifice to the society to all and do good things to all people. To follow Buddha direction, I must recognize what countries and governments are bringing good things for their people. If I see the bad things that the government is bringing to the people and I don’t speak out and serving the government, I am rather not to become the monk. That means I must recognize good and bad things. I am totally supporting and encouraging to those governments are doing great things for their people and totally rejecting for those bringing bad things to suffer their people. Similarly, there are only five communist countries are existing on this planet including China, Vietnam, Cuba, Lao, and North Korea. We’re all seeing how those countries are treating their own people. People are living in those countries without freedom of speech, liberty, justice, press. They have no right at all. They can arrest anytime, get beating up, torture and get kill. It is the right thing for me to stand up to speak out for Vietnamese people. They are suffering so much under the communist rule. That is the right direction of Buddha teaching and that is what I have going for and continuing moving forward. I can easily stay at my temple to practice my religion by chanting, meditation, teaching Buddhism concepts to my follower students, but more important to teach them the value of life to know what it is right and wrong. The communist party has bring too much suffer for them. The communist party is destroying, robbing, kidnapping and killing innocent Vietnamese people. From a beautiful land, the communist party is bringing evils concepts to poisoning all the people. Therefore, I am practicing and following Buddha teaching and helping Vietnamese people to stand up for their justice to bring back to the Buddha pure land.
To reject my uncle’s advisory to stop against the communist regime, I would like to analyze in detail in this section. First of all, my uncle is crossing out my name out of the Nguyen pedigree. As mentioned above, I am feeling sadness about his decision, however, as a monk I have to consider everyone around me as my relative, my family members, as mothers, fathers, brother and sister. He is still my uncle and similarly to every elder man I meet as my father. I am belonging and serving everyone around me as a whole community. Second, he is calling me as a follower of South Republic of Vietnam loser. This is a totally wrong and I believe that he has no idea about South Republic of Vietnam or South Vietnam. I don’t blame him for this since he is living and serving the communist party for so long. I would like to give many examples how successful of the South Vietnam before the war and how successful of them when they escaped from the communist, immigrating and seeking asylum to other countries around the world.
First of all, the Republic of Vietnam didn’t lose the war. The North Vietnam with the Communist Party had broken the Paris Peace Accords Agreement in Geneva in 1973 and attacked the South later. The Republic of Vietnam was one of the most growing nations in Asia during that time. The Republic of Vietnam’s economic was very stable and was the fastest growing GDP in the region. They had many scientists, mathematics, researchers and were very high educated people. I would like to give a great example one of the mathematics Professor Vinh Xuan Nguyen. He was a very famous Professor and also a general commander in the military. He wrote many mathematic books which are still teaching today. He was sponsored to America in 1972 where he would develop his greatest talented and great contribution to Space Invention later. He designed the driveway in space for both descending and ascending of the spaceship. He was one of the frontiers of designing spaceship material which was capable to handle the extreme temperature and was able to keep up with the speed of seventeen thousand mile per hour. His great discovery and legacies are very well known and continue applying to current space invention. This is one of the example of how talent and educate of the People Republic of Vietnam. Even famous historical of Singapore Prime Minister Ly Quang Dieu came to visit South Vietnam during that time and was wishing that twenty years from now Singapore might caught up with the current South Vietnam economic. Thus, there were many and many more successful stories of the Republic of Vietnam and I don’t have enough time and would like to introduce lots more at other times.
In addition, I also would like to point out to my uncle how successful people of Republic of Vietnam when they escaped from the communist and are currently living in many countries around the globe. One of the famous scientists who are the founder of an explosive bomb that is helping to fight the Taliban in Afghanistan, her name is Duong Nguyet Anh and currently is living in the United States. For many years, the Soviet Union had lost their war in Afghanistan because they couldn’t fight the Taliban who were always hiding underground and deep in the mountain. After few years of researching, Nguyen Anh finally invented an explosive bomb that helping American winning the war in Afghanistan. This explosive bomb can target the enemies in any hiding locations and was able to destroy them at any moment. This great invention has successful fought the terrorism Taliban in Afghanistan. Along with Nguyet Anh is another famous Vietnamese engineering who is designing and laying out for the world’s largest fleet command, the U.S. Pacific Fleet encompasses 100 million square miles. The U.S. Pacific Fleet consists of approximately 200 ships/submarines, nearly 1,200 aircraft, and more than 130,000 Sailors and civilians. There are many more scientists, researchers, physicians who are continuing their work to contribute other countries around the world. The Republic of Vietnam government does not exist anymore, but the people of Republic of Vietnam are presenting everywhere and give their greatest contribution to other countries. This shows that they are successors and not a loser like what my uncle has mentioned above. Thus, I rather follow a loser like this instead of listening to the communist propaganda.
In this section, I would like to debate and object about the idea of my uncle to advise me for not against the communist party. He told me that the current regime is the best government in the world. The founder of the communist party was Ho Chi Minh who is giving the best ideology, philosophy, giving independent to the country, and bringing the best society for Vietnamese people. I belief that my uncle is totally wrong. He is serving too long for the communist regime and he is no idea about democracy of the Western Society. The communist theory is a perfect ideology which is taking from the rich and divide to the poor to make it even out to everyone. I would like my uncle showing me this is true or totally in opposite direction. Vietnamese people are very sure that more than four thousands of communist members are the richest people in the nation to compare with ninety millions of Vietnamese population. Let ask the questions: where they have the money? They are taking from the rich and dividing to the poor. The answer is no. They rob people money, torture, send to prison and kill innocent people to put in their own pockets.
Many Vietnamese People and my uncle have been brainwashing. People know that communists are terrorism and they are the crime. They have been killing too many innocent people and continuing bringing too much suffering to the country. People are living in Vietnam is considering living a large prison and are no different than hell. I would like to ask my uncle what the communist regime is bringing to Vietnamese people. Do they have any invention, discovery, designing, and contributing to the society? The answer is absolutely no. To compare with people of western society with their democracy government system, they are building, creating, inventing and bringing good things for their people. For example, in the early 1960, many American engineers were thinking to build a great highway structure which costed less and lasted long for American people. After many years of redesigning, their highway systems are ranking the best of the world. On other way, the highway system in Vietnam can only last maximum two years. The reason is that they don’t do it for their people. They create many false projects to suck out the money and put in their own pocket. The communist party is all corrupted as whole system.
My uncle also mentions that there are thousands and thousands of Doctor of Philosophy each year has graduated in Vietnam. He said that all communist leaders are very high educated. This is also absolutely wrong. They are buying the degree and the government gives them whatever degree they want. Until now, I don’t know my uncle can give me a simple example for one simple of their invention to contribute to the society. I am totally lost when hearing him saying it. Therefore, I can spend days and nights to describe their sins, their crime, and their terrorism. I don’t have enough paper and ink to write down their acts of bringing so much suffering to the Vietnamese people. If Marx and Lenin are still alive, they all bite their tongue to commit suicide because their theory will never work and can’t apply to any society. The longer the communist existing in this world, the longer the people are suffering.
In conclusion, for this short video, I would like to give a brief history of my family and why part of my family members such as my uncle is serving the current communist party. I am definitely and absolutely rejecting the advisory of my uncle and my uncle Monk Master. I am continuing practicing and teaching Buddha religion. I am continuing guiding Vietnamese people to stand up to fight for their freedom, justice, press, liberty. We all stand up together to fight to keep our motherland and bring back a Buddha pure land. Thank you all for listening.

Salutations to Peaceful Vietnamese Demonstrators and all Vietnamese People back home; I am Master Thich Thong Lai. Today, I would like to send messages which mainly focus on three very important points to our Demonstrators and the Vietnamese People. There are new orders from the Communist Party to send K-20 special force to suppress the demonstrators, all of the schools will start teaching Chinese in August 2018, as an official language and no others foreign language allow and people can’t take out their own money from their bank account.
First of all, I receive very special news for People of Binh Thuan Province. This news comes from one of the high ranking military communist leader in the South. I would like to remind everyone that this same person has sent a warning message two hours before the demonstration on June 10, 2018. To keep his safety, I would like for not release his name. He told me that he received an order from the Head Communist Party to suppress and seize the demonstrators. He accepted the order, but disobeyed and didn’t follow the instructions. However, he also received the new order to request that he and his staffs have to stay at his military base and camp at that station. He is not allowed to have his military moving forward. The order also is requested that the Southern Military must have to stay to camp on the ground, not allow moving forward to support the policeman anymore.
Secondly, I receive a new from one of the high rank officer of the communist party. They call K-20 which is a special force to arrest, kidnapping, and torture peaceful demonstrators. They were established on August 19, 1945, located at twenty three A Nguyen Khang, Phuong Trung Hoa, Cau Giay District, Ha Noi. This special force has been established more than seventy years. They are under Vu Hong Van as commander. He is sending twelve hundred of this special force to arrest, torture, and kidnap and even killing innocent civilians. They have another name call empire soldiers who are also labeled as thirty blood soldiers. They are mainly serving for the Communist Party and secretly trained from China. They are mixed of Chinese soldiers who are living many years in Vietnam and speak Vietnamese. Under his commander, he follows the order to sending the troops to suppress the main demonstrators in Binh Thuan Province and ordering for not allowing the top military officers in the South Vietnam Region involving or sending their own troops to assist the demonstrators. This is the exact news I have received from the high rank military officer from the South. I would like to ask my follow students to find out any information about this commander such as his family, relatives, friends, any pictures and video, address information and forward them to me as soon as possible. This shows that the communist party is violated the international law and this man is an International War Crime. The more information about him and his family will be better for me to send those information’s to Human Right Watch to report him as an International War Crime.
Third, starting from August of this year, 2018, the Communist Party officially implements Chinese language to all the schools in Vietnam. The whole education system is not allowed to teach any others foreign language such as English, French, Japanese, Korean, and others. If there is one foreign language teaching, there must need approval from the government with lots of restrictions and limitations. This is the worst news for everyone and sadly for Vietnamese people who are living in the country and don’t speak and learn their own language. Moreover, English is the most popular language in the world and won’t allow teaching anymore. This shows that Vietnam Country is completely sold to China.
In addition to the news this morning, many of my follow students came to the bank and tried to withdraw their money. They are not allowed to take out their money directly from their bank account. The Communist Party gives an order to the Banking Systems only providing each individual with a number and an appointment with the banker. The Communist Party is planning to rob people money. Many people deposit with millions dollars to the bank and can’t withdraw. They only allow withdrawing about $3,000-$4,000 maximum from their millions dollars account and the amount of money is very limited. You can simply understand that people allow taking only 1-2% of money or less from their bank account. This means they are losing all of their money deposit from the bank. The communist party is robbing people money.
In conclusion, I want to send messages to Vietnamese People that we are continuing fighting in a nonviolent and peaceful way. We are all very precautions about the K-20 special force, collecting all the information about the Vu Hong Van commander to report as an International War Crime. With the sadness news for Vietnamese People who will not allow learning their own language and there will be implementation Chinese language to all of the school system of Vietnam starting in August, 2018. Lastly, the Communist Party is ordering Bank System not allowing people to withdraw their own money from their bank account. Obviously, I have no words to say about this communist regime, we must stand up to fight for ourselves to get rid of the regime to keep our motherland. Thank you very much everyone and good luck to ALL.

Salutation to everyone, my name is Master Thich Thong Lai. I am currently running Tam Nguyen Temple system operating in four different States: Washington States, California, Texas, and Florida. Today is the father day. I would like to salute to all of the fathers and say thank you very much to those son and daughters have taking care well of their father. Happy Father Day to All. I also would like to salute to our lovely and peaceful demonstrators of Vietnamese People who are fighting for their freedom and stand up for their right. I would like to say thank you to those Vietnamese abroad have continued support the Vietnamese People to fight and to keep Vietnam Country not sweep out of the world map.
First of all, I would like to provide the exact news that I have received today. Many of United Nation Human Right Watch Reporters have presented in Vietnam to investigate and follow all of the violated cases of the Vietnamese Communist Party to Vietnamese People during the peaceful demonstration from June 10 to June 17, 2018. They secret entering the country as a tourist visa. This is great news for Vietnamese People.
The second news I would like to share with everyone that there are more than two hundred thousand of peaceful demonstrators either driving motorcycles or walking on the street from June 15, 16, and 17, 2018. Most of the demonstrators are from Catholic Church from the middle Region of Vietnam. All of the catholic people have listened to Father Nguyen Van Ly who is one of the most famous Catholic father have been beaten, tortured, and jailed by the communist for several years. Even now, he has released from prison, but still with very high security guarding and there is always surrounded by secret policeman around his house. The demonstrators are peacefully matching at their Church and walking on the main street road from Ha Tinh Province to all other Provinces in the middle region of Vietnam. Along with matching, they are singing many songs such as “Vietnam Where I Am, Thousands Hands Raising, Vietnam Motherland, and others” to support each other’s to disagree and totally reject about the government selling Vietnam land. They want to send a message to the government that the communist party is not allowed to sell our motherland to China and NOT even let China leasing for one day. We’re all together to reject totally and telling the world that the communist party has sold our motherland to China. We are standing up to fight until our last breathe. We also reject the cyber law that isolates Vietnam completely to the outside world.
Many of my follow students back home call and email me about the approval of the cyber law. They have a difficult time to access Facebook and YouTube. Before they usually were able to upload pictures, video of the demonstrators on Facebook, the communist party takes this advantage of this new cyber law to arrest all the demonstrators. Demonstrators are afraid to walk down on the street since K-20 special force present everywhere suppresses them. To respond to the question above, I advise my students to record on their own smart phone and upload to YouTube later. I also advise you guys continuing demonstration in a nonviolent and peaceful way. We have to change our strategy with the target of collapse the communist economy system. To avoid kidnapping, arresting, and beating up, my students must act normal as a regular civilian to drive your motorcycle to the most traffic commute location in the city. To prepare for this, you need to carry a small bottle of water, small snack such as sandwich, a handful of sticky rice and a full tank of gas for your motorcycle. You don’t need to bring big banners, graphic, signs. You need to carry small signs to put in your pocket. One main focus would be the main road to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, other locations would be main bus station of the East, large third and fourth intersection of Hang Xanh. All of these locations above are currently hitting the high record of traffic jam in the city. If you’re all heading to that locations at the peak hours for one thousand, two thousand, hundreds and hundreds thousand, there would be the worst traffic ever in the history. This will cause many delays from the airport; tourist stuck under the hot weather and will miss their fly. Tourist entering the countries will have a terrible image about Vietnam. Goods and products won’t be delivered on time. This definitely causes a chain of reaction to the whole economy system. With the stock value currently is going down daily and follows with the traffic problems, the economic system for sure will collapse anytime. Of course, the police can’t arrest anyone since the demonstrators don’t go to public place such as parks, city centers, and ambassador place. People are driving with their own motorcycle as their normal daily life. There is no way that the police will arrest them. If the special force arrest and beating the demonstrators, you can see how the world viewing them. This is definitely violating international law of human right. Foreigners will withdraw their investment and try to get out of the country as quick as they can. I am very sure that the conditions are getting worse if the communist suppress the demonstrators.
Therefore, we should be calm and continue with our nonviolent and peaceful match since the United Nation Human Right Watch Reporters presenting in the country, more and more Catholic leaders, Catholic Church matching along with demonstrators to support each other’s to fight the regime. We are changing our tragedy to cause more traffic to create the best force to collapse the economy system. Good Luck to You All.

Thank God to keep me safe after 18 hours interogated by police. And thanks brothers, sisters, all all for watching and sharing this information to everyone who was arrested on the afternoon of June 17th. I’d like to share my thought to all of you. (0:40)
Today, there were over 150 people being arrested in Vinh Nghe ward. I went to church. The story began at 6:15 a.m. as I was having a Mass at Lady Church. the mass was dismissed at 7:45 a.m. I then came to the statue of Our Lady to pray. 5 minutes later, there were about 4 civil uniform police officers appoached. They grabbed my neck. They ordred “You go to the police station.” I questioned “Who are you? Why you arrest me?” They just brutally smacked me in my head then pushed me over their vehicle. As arriving to Ben Nghe police station, District 1, I saw about 10 people being arrrested ahead of me. Later, there were so many buses arrived and unloaded many people, estimated over 150 peoples as I roughly counted. (1:46).
I’d like to share my pain. Today was suppressing day that seemed to be a persecution of the catholic religion. There was about 80% of catholics brothers and sisters being arrested. On or about 8 o’clock, brother Trinh Toan and his wife Nguyen Thi Loan were arrived as being detained as well. Policeman detained me in a covered room. As brother Trinh Toan arriving and hold a helmet, he was suddenly hit by secret service officer by his own helmet on his head. Brother Toan immediatly fell down on ground unconciously. Mrs. Loan, Toan’s wife, ran into him, held him up, and enraged “why you beat my husband down?” I was about to run into it to intervene but was stopped and ordered “take this girl outside.” Police secret service officer brutally kicked sister again. Toan & Loan were both unconcious as I witnessed. I then saw a doctor, brought in by police, started checking on brother Toan and siste Loan for first aid. Probably about an hour later, I saw sister Loan came out the room heading toward to toilet. At that time, I observed so many policemen. Policemen loaded over 150 people on many bus trip, back and forth. the station looked like a clumsy fleet market. Higher ranks cursed at lower ranks. Lower ranks cursed at other… Other cursed at us. There was a police officer, who officially stood up, patted on his chest, and ordered “In here, you all need to listen to me, not anyone else!” The policemen talked to detained protestors profanely. (3:33).
When I got there, I sat and observed. I thought the policemen knew me well enough so they isolated me in the corner. While I was waiting for police to interrogate process, I visited those protestors one by one. I learnt that those protestors mainly came from dioceses, Dong Nai, Bac Lieu, and Lam Dong. I asked when they arrived to Saigon. They responded “morning”. When they went to Our Lady church, they got arrested by police. I stood in that corner, observed and saw many young men, who just arrived and were beaten up terribly with blood all over their faces. I could not do anything but just prayed and prayed. Why could not I do anything? Because whenener I stood up and started questioning “”Why you beat up these young fellow bloodily?” Policemen smacked me immediately. They won’t let us even stand up right. I stood outside while brother Trinh Toan was brutally beaten up inside. He called out for rescue “Save me, the policeman beat me.” I was really sorrowful. They beated brother Toan that I could not describe it. When brother Toan were beaten, I only thing I could do … pray. Very hurt…. I insisted policemen to stop beating brother Toan because he was my brother, your brother, our brother, our Vietnamese, not Chinesse… Stop beating him. At that time, all detained protestors all at once stood up to ask for ease of violence. Policemen whipped baton on us. They said, “Sit down. Are you go against us?” We just cried and prayed. Brother Toan kept calling for help “Help me, policemen beat me.” The sound of asking for help, for rescue kept echo and echo, and very despicable (5:16).
I could not suffer enough when each and everytime the beating up and down on brother Toan. I only cried and prayed. God, please keep brother Toan safe in your arm. I then suggested to protestors “let pray to Mother Maria to keep all of us here safe.” When the policeman heard of what I suggested praying, they isolated me to the different place but I still heard retains praying with Mother Maria. About 10 minutes later, the security leaded a group of people but all youth and blooded faces. There was a young lady, coming from Bien Hoa, aged of 30 some years old. She tried not to loose her phone so she turned off. Policeman demanded her fingers printed. She refused and immediately was received a straight punch on her face by a very hugh strong security guy. This punch caused her a tooth losen. This young lady suffered so much. She swallowed tooth, swallowed all bleeding and not even spitted out. I could imagine how she exasperated so she coud not spitted out bleeding. Blood is for Vietnam nation. Why the Vietnamese beated the Vietnamese. She was very strong. Everybody! we should should stand up, not fear anymore. She was isolated in a diffent place. There was a room to be reserved to beat anyone who is resistant or disobey before returning here to start the interrogation. I saw many youth coming out of that room with full of blooded faces, swollen faces, tattered cloths and even with bared feet. Later, I saw brother Trinh Toan was escorted out of that room. He was unconscious and fell off immediately on the ground. At that time, the ambulance arrived but they intentionally delayed in taking him to hospital. We requested them to transport him immediately due to the critial medical condition. After 15 minutes delaying, they transported brother Toan to the hospital. I saw sister Loan, who was beat up badly as well, running along with the ambulance (7:51).
The protest, I thought, today’s protest is the peaceful protest to against the 99-year-old lease Chinese, against the cyber security proposal law. Protestors did not have anything in their hands (8: 10). On contrast, the security forces & the police, they beated people like an anemy with electric shock, baton, by strong men, whipping on women without mercy. I witnessed with my own eyes. I was smacked on my face but not thing to compare with other brothers and sisters who suffer their sorrows (8:28).
I looked around and recalled the imagination of brother Toan yelled out for help “save me, anyone one help… the police beat me.” Its echo really hurted me deep inside, very hurt. There is nothing to express the deepest sorrows. I witnessed one person to another… one person beat up to another beat up… Only thing I could do is to sit and pray. If I just voice up, I would be smacked on my face. Evil was arounded and I just kept praying (8:58).
May Our Mother comfort and protect me at this moment. I did string time. The police questioned “What are news are you trying to reach out? Stop” Then they dragged me away to another place, not allowing me to stand near the crowd purposely not to have all people praying. I told protestors to remember praying because we had many catholic brothers & sisters here. We should witness before God. We are here today because it’s a honorable thing, persecuted for justice, for peace, for truth and truth. I was at the police station from 8 to 20 o’clock. The police started interrogating me for 2 hrs as they did study my background really well. In Go Vap for a while, they released me to my residence (10:03).
In the process of working with them, I always questioned policemen “Why are you, a Vietnamese, the same Vietnamese with us, not against the Chinese. We are all Vietnamese but why beat us brutally.” Policeman alleged “This man was a hardhead. That man was distructive”. I responded “That man is not destructive. We protest peacefully. We love this homeland and did not take anything away from you. Why you suppress and beat us brutally?” I felt what I’ve done today was to witness, to persecute because I was given the today’s sermon from the Mass. Mostly Catholics were very resilient. They were very sharing, sharing their own water bottle. They did not take water from police to avoid poisioning. They shared cookies, which they have to fight for (11:04).
Because the phone and backpack were confiscated. When there was a fainted people because of being hungry, we fought, we asked backpack back to feed the hungers with cookies. Could you imagine a 2-liter bottle water were shared to over 150 people drink? There was a love in water as well as cookies. Just a little cookie that broken down into small pieces to share. I could not imagine seeing the scene. I abserved people around. Everyone was cursed by the police regardless of the age, even that person is at their parent’s age. I felt the Vietnamese, meant Viethname women (12:01),
I felt embassed for policewomen who treated to over retainer women uneducatedly. They laughed at us. They cursed us. They said we were nothing. They used any worst words to cursed us disrespectfully. The policewomen’s age were about to retainer’s young kid’s age. I said “why are you so disrespectful to those whose age is about your parent’s age?” I was immediately receive a smacking on my face. In general speaking, if anyone open their mouth, they receive a smacking. Police were surrounded me either with uniform or secret. The police divided us into group. Any group with any indicaiton of disobeyment or against is isolated. They took to the room next to it, beat them up and down and took it out after it was done. I could not imagine the Vietnamese beat against Viethamese just like that. I have seen police assualted before but never seen this time, very brutally suppressed, intensively assaulted. Some of detainer’s string was confiscated. Detainers read bible and stringed. Their strings were consficated just like they consficated mine but I was able to keep. They demanded “You took off.” I say “No, I do not take off. They asked “What is the fucking in it caused you not to take off?” I responded “This is my Lord being here.” They questioned “What is your Lord?” I replied “God is the truth.” They immediately slapped me. I told him “My God is the truth. You have no right to slap me!” They then immediately smacked again. I felt today was a day, a day to honor God, and I was so thankful to God. It hurted to see brothers and sisters in front of me, being suprressed cruelly of a regime. Vietnamese people protested peacefully to protect this homeland for the Vietnamese. Why you guys, you guy also a Vietnamese. Now think of what you have beat them (14:17),
It had been haunted until now. It sticked in my head because I was the one who observed all people from the beginning. I kept observing & observing because I was the first one being arrested here. I saw many youth being arrested, beaten up with blooded faces. Even the street sellers (sweet rice, lottery ticket, water) were arrested unreasonably. One of water sellers questioned why she was being arrested. She was received an unresponsible answer by policemen “You talk too much. Just sit tie. Otherwise, I’m going to beat you up.” In general, police acted and talked violently if anyone detainers opened their mouth. There were two Australian, who were arrested as well. These Australian provided passport to prove its citizenship and they were escorted to different area (15:31).
Today, I felt something in me, undetemination & resentment. You could imagine how acerbated a young lady, being beaten up, swallowed her loosen tooth and blood. (16:00)
There was a man, being beaten up tatteredly, lying on the ground but always strong mind. He did not complain at all, did not pain at all. I heard police thrash in that room. I felt hurt each time police punched. I wanted to share their pain but did not know what to do. I felt both embarrassed and painful to the extent that it could not express the pain when I witnessed all my brothers & sisters being beaten up. All detainers, regardless their age, were smacked at once on their faces whenever they questioned security “how are you?” (17:00).
All brothers and sisters, who were Catholics, may you having a communion with us with 1 time of Our Father, 3 times of Hail Mary, and 1 time of The Glory. For this country, May Mother Mary and Lord keep the beaten people safe. There was bout 30 people left being detained. May Lord, accompany us, the people of Vietnam. I offered the Our Father, Hail Mary. Please accept our words. May brothers and sisters, either catholic and non-catholic, have faith on us, communion with us. Pray for this country. Father and Son and Holy Spirit Amen. (18:28)
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen (18:52).
Hail Mary is full of the grace of God with you. She is more blessed than any woman and her daughter Jesus is blessed. Our Lady of God prayed for us to be sinners now and for Amen.
Hail Mary is full of the grace of God with you. She is more blessed than any woman and her daughter Jesus is blessed. Our Lady of God prayed for us to be sinners now and for Amen.
Hail Mary is full of the grace of God with you. She is more blessed than any woman and her daughter Jesus is blessed. Our Lady of God prayed for us to be sinners now and for Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. (19:55)
Lord, thank you for giving me a day to experience and to understand fully the pain of our brothers. May God and Mary preserve our country from all evil. We are ready to forgive them because they are also our brothers, our fellow human beings. We always pray for them. May God sanctify them. Have them changed. Do not treat their own people as enemies. May I ask everyone to pray with me. Thank you for watchin Thank God to keep me safe after 18 hours interogated by police. And thanks brothers, sisters, all all for watching and sharing this information to everyone who was arrested on the afternoon of June 17th. I’d like to share my thought to all of you. (0:40)

Thank you for watching

Traffic police begging an indigenous young man who knows laws.
TRAFFIC POLICE: If somebody protests …
YOUNG MAN: Nobody protests.
TRAFFIC POLICE: …the decision of towing this van to the police station, we’ll set up a legal record as administration violation.
If nobody protests.
YOUNG MAN (to a local resident): … it’s true that my van …
… they are really putting pressure on the people.
TRAFFIC POLICE: OK, let it be towed. Any attempt to resist will be reported.
YM: … no need of report or anything else. You are violating the law. …. Just let it be towed. No big deal…
… I asked a reporter to come at 9:00 am. I did ask, but what they are doing intentionally is putting pressure on the people. No fault, no report!
TP: Resistance is reported.
YM: Nobody claims resistance. For no reason, pressure is put on me, a helpless citizen. Pressure is put on a driver. Mobilizing officers to put force on a helpless citizen.
… No fault at all! Chasing me, then stopping me, now mobilizing a crowd to suppress me.
… pressure a citizen. Have it towed!
POLICEWOMAN: Please….
YM’S WIFE: No. Let go of my hand!
YOUNG MAN: Let it be towed! That’s their job.
YOUNG MAN’S WIFE: Let go of my hand. Don’t make me ……
YM: Let it be. Everything will be OK. Get out of my way! They won’t wait for our people to come. Get out! Keep waiting! Now they are using laws to put pressure on us,.. they are using laws, and all those people … (to the police), I can tell my wife what to do! Forcing us to get out with no reports, nothing.
And now… everything … but we have the right … no big deal. If it’s our fault, we’ll pay the fine. No problem, we take responsibilities of what we did. We shouldn’t mind it. The news is that one of the tyres explodes. In the back. If you tow and a tyre explodes, the charge is on you. Leave them, they have the power. If they affirm their decision to tow, it means they put pressure on us. Let them … We are powerless people. .. we can’t resist… They treat us like smugglers of heroin or explosives… Look at this comrade … Chasing without proper authority, making us wait till morning for the authorizing document… Try hard ,,, Tow! It’s all because of you, you force me to get it towed. I dare not resist. Since yesterday, I haven’t shown any sign of protest. Towing is their work. So many people come out to suppress the helpless people. Let them tow. Never mind, We have law, we have to obey the law, but this is putting pressure on the people. So many of them get together to press the people. They can’t find any fault, not any. There is no reason for not allowing pictures! No reason at all.
TP: … we are law authorities.
YM: Law authorities! You are intentionally oppressing the helpless people and you call yourselves law authorities! Oppressing
the people is not a simple thing. And this is related to an individual treasure. I haven’t shown any sign of resistance since yesterday. Holding me up since yesterday, for the whole night. Not finding any fault. Checking everything, calling the economics police, then checking all the merchandise, still finding nothing wrong. No faults. Yet, towing my van for the weighing process, just like a violation case. That is oppressing the people.
Having it sealed … without finding any fault, without any excuses … I know, you are a transport policeman, you are of an educational type, but even at such a level you can’t read the people’s fault. What are the faults that you can’t read or talk about. Oppress people, in every way. Requesting all kinds of papers, which are all shown to you then playing all tricks, turning off the van engine right in the middle of the road, not allowing the van to be moved to the road side. Chasing the van at a sharp turning corner. Everybody, look at this with your own eyes. See how people make judgements, what they say about this. Are they doing the right thing? As to me, if I do something wrong, I’m willing to pay the fine. But I did nothing wrong. The whole clip proves it all. Now they just oppress the people, the helpless people. Not allowing them to present their views. How weird this is! No resisting, no arguing, but still cornered. No fault listed. Still having the van sealed. Stopping people as if they were smugglers. How come honest traders are treated like smugglers? Is it right or wrong? I’m willing to spend several dozen dong for the complete game. There must be truth in this life, there must be right and wrong! But there is only pressure put on the cornered helpless people. That’s it! Well done! Here are all those coming to suppress the people, while there is no resistance. If there were, you’d be chained.
As helpless people, we shouldn’t be silly, We should slow down. If they want a tow, let them do it. If we do something wrong, let’s pay the fine. There’s nothing to fear as long as we don’t resist. We’ve done nothing wrong.
Well, get the van towed. Fine, you’ll need to deal with the line of the overloaded vans that are back rumbling along the roads days and nights. You’ll see it tonight.
Here are the people cornered to the dead end. It’s time to push things to the end. Oppressing the people. Leaving no living paths to the people . Oppressing them to deaths. Sending crowds to oppress them. What use are the laws, then? Can’t understand. Can’t understand at all. I don’t break laws, yet they seal my van. What unfair laws! What can helpless people do!
But there can’t be such absence of justice. There must be justice at the end. The people are toiling and stumbling along their life roads. With this van, I used to pay 10 million dong a month; for a year it’s no trouble. But now, with an accident, it will be under repair for 6 months, no chance for any trip at the beginning of the month… here comes another accident. All the money spent is recorded on the list. Just to let you know.
We are now helpless people. Ignore them, dear. There are so many of them. The people have no voice. I just want to wait for my reporter, till 9 o’clock but this is how I am treated. While I show no resistance and make no noise. Tow or do whatever you want, but make sure you follow the law. If not, you must give explanations, that is, explain about the driver. With a good reason, you can check my van, but you must make clear what my fault is. If you can’t find any fault, you’ll need to do administrative check. If they say “no fault”, they will have to do administrative check. Meanwhile, everything is recorded. Yet, people are still cornered. No fault to be found with the van. They video record everybody, even everybody on the police side. We aren’t guilty of anything because we don’t violate the law. No violation, no guilt. Still, my finances are affected because of what they’ve done to me.
The van is the only property I have. I’ve made loans from the bank to buy it to make my living. Yet, I have been stuck here since last night, My merchandise has also been affected, I don’t have to … I keep trying to get things solved this way or that way. As the VIPs come, they send the van to the police to get things done, but how can they when, together, they just pressure the people! Gosh! All of them together! Can’t understand. What can be done? In what way? There is nothing wrong with the van in the traffic. No fault reported, yet still the guilt. No resistance, nothing like that.
Anyone in this life needs to do good things for the sake of the next generation. But in this case, no good deeds, none at all. Everyone makes clear statements, without any doubt.
Finding fault with someone who has done nothing wrong is just like killing him. One after another, they are putting pressure on a civilian. Making a not guilty person become guilty. How smart is that!
Not properly doing their job. Pressuring the not guilty to become guilty. The whole … starting from last night … that other engine …, leave the other one in place.
Let everybody enjoy the incident, let them say whether things are done the right way or the wrong way. Let the people judge. What is going on between driver and police…?
They have been drivers before, yet those policemen … treat people as if they were criminals, while they’ve done nothing wrong, nothing wrong at all. No faults to be seen! How smart is that! Look at that crowd! What a crowd! No need to tow, but they still do! No problem! There will be more explanations to make. As to that VIP who gives orders to tow. Fine, but no matter how important he is, he will need to justify his orders. Especially when there are no faults found.
This is a helpless person who wants to wait for a reporter who will come at 9:00. But they are determined to pressure him before the reporter comes. Can’t understand it. Not any right left for the people. Tow it, as you please, but remember that you’ll take responsibility of your wrongdoing. I have no fear because I do nothing wrong, Everything I do conforms to the law. I’ve studied laws, I’ve been taught laws. I have nothing to fear. There will be hours to come before the attorney comes. But they won’t agree to that. They want to pressure the people ahead of time. How smart! Look at those cumbersome vehicles. Just like huge hills moving along.
Actually, I just had an accident, got a crash, stayed off the traffic for 6 months and didn’t make due payments. (to wife) We’ll have to accept things, my dear. We are helpless people. About our van, we have to accept the wrong as right.
Look, everybody, see how the people are pressured. No wrongdoing but Mr Pham Van Hoa has ordered the towing for further decisions. No matter how wrong his inferiors have been. Just do the towing and wait. Won’t allow any more time for the attorney to come. Any guilty person will need an attorney. See how they won’t allow delays till 9:00 for an attorney to come. This is not a smuggling case. Just an administrative case, but it’s enough to pressure the people. What a horror! The Vietnamese law leaves no living space for its people. See, no living space for the people. See what will happen next. There will be other issues like this one in Dinh Hoa. Look at the dozens of containers noisily rumbling by without any obstacles. Yet innocent people have been stopped.
Any law must be righteous in the legal perspective and must have a specific target. A weighing permit means weighing should be permitted. But this is a case of no permit, which necessitates delays till morning hours. All of them together to pressure the people. We have no right to check, but they have the right to inspect.
Getting a specific permit is their issue. They don’t have the permit to weigh, but they do. They don’t have the permit to check the merchandise, but they do. They don’t have the permit to chase on turning roads but they do.
This is the only property I have to support my family, my wife and children. Yet, so many of them come to pressure me… while they can’t find anything wrong about my van.
Such is the government today. They seal the van without any reasons. No reason to seal it. How smart! Meanwhile, they’ve chased me to a sharp turn on road. They’ve finished the report, but still don’t allow me to drive to the roadside. They insist on leaving the van right in the middle of the road all night. What about individual properties? That’s my family’s property, not to …. not to… I have to make loans, different kinds of loan … Those are all insignificant to them. The people’s properties for them are like something to throw away. That’s how they pressure people to the dead end. You should live your life such as to leave good fruits to the next generation. You should not pressure others to get yourself pressured in return. There should be no difference! OK, everything clearly shows both the right and the wrong. If I am wrong, I’ll take legal responsibility. I’ll take responsibility of my wrongdoings. No problems. So many of them show up to pressure an individual civilian, to corner him to a dead end, leaving him no living way. That is against the law.
Get into the van, chasing it. If you have no special assignment to search, you should not search, but I have the right … get stuck here … Let me ask you, are there any traffic police like that, chasing me up to such a road, stopped me at the front…. The driver asked to move the van to the side then they could check anything they want. They didn’t allow it. They left us like that for the whole night, till morning. Now, even in case of violation, the people will need an attorney … but they won’t wait until the attorney comes at 9:00 am. They intentionally tow ….
LOCAL RESIDENT: This is what I think. I am a resident here. Whether you want it or not, you are a driver aren’t you? (Yes) You are supposed to obey the law, aren’t you? (Yes) You are bound to do things according to the law (Right)
Now, on the road, if they have suspicion, they have the right to check …
YOUNG MAN: But the traffic law says that traffic police in service must have special assignments.
LOCAL RESIDENT: I saw you stuck on the road since yesterday afternoon.
YOUNG MAN: True, they won’t allow me to move, so dangerous for the traffic and for the pedestrians. There are so many other kinds of vehicles. Yet they insist on not allowing to move the van and sealing it, though not specifying the fault.
LOCAL RESIDENT: Causing serious obstruction
YM: Obstructing the road, causing inconvenience to the local residents. But as helpless people, what can we do? Now, it’s not like just driving out onto the road.
LOCAL RESIDENT: We should stay where we are taken to. …You’ ve been talking a lot.
YM: I have to, because the law is wrongly applied. We are not thieves or robbers. They have checked everything, the merchandise, the paper work, everything. Then they asked for someone to come and seal the van. See my sealed van? Now they are going to tow it to the provincial district office.
Whatever they do should comply with the law. But in this case, let me tell you something: If I did something wrong, they would certainly be after me. In fact, I say no swear words, I am not against the Party or the Nation. What I say is perfectly right because this is my property.
There is no reason they should pressure me. They can’t prove any violations while this van is my property and the driver can show all the required papers … These days, you need a special assignment before leaving for work. What is your assignment about: weighing, breath analyzing …? You must have one. Well, the fact is you don’t have one but you still corner me to the dead end. Everybody, please have a good look and let me know whether this is right or wrong! I am a driver without any resistance. My van has been sealed since 12:30 am or 1:00 am. Meanwhile, nobody knows what rule my van has violated. No violations confirmed. This is what my tyre looks like…….. The tyre is in bad condition, but they insist on towing it.
I request more time, till 9:00, for my attorney to arrive. Even if guilty, any accused person would need an attorney. But they ignore my request.
See how the traffic has been obstructed since last night because my van was stopped right in the middle of the road. They would not allow me to move it. Such is the law of Vietnam. Such is how they treat their people, how kind they are to their people, how they instruct their people. This is about the police of Dinh Hoa! This is the whole gang of them!

A demonstration took place at one end of Tran Hung Dao Bridge on June 11, 2018. The police was the side that resorted first to the use of force when police officers opened fire and killed a civilian, causing the people to react forcefully. A large rapid-response police force moved in to assault the demonstrators
(a song’s lyrics follows – translator’s note)
“Blood has been shed on our motherland’s soil
Because the people’s party has invited the nation’s foes into our home
Traitors, along with invaders,
Aimed their guns at our people with the intent to kill.
If the people surrendered,
That would be Vietnam’s own Tienanmen.
Rise! Use your bodies against their bullets.
Allow your blood to be shed so that Vietnam will stand.”
(Ms. Diem Chi, a contemporary of Ms. Thanh Lan, was a singer before 1975)

Demonstrators’ blood was shed last night in Phan Thiet.
He (Dong Chuong Tu’s FB page) related that 8 persons were arrested and taken to the building of the People’s Committee of Binh Thuan Province. A group of demonstrators broke into the building and freed him. The rapid-response police’s brutal crackdown had injured him, e.g., several broken fingers, bleeding in the ears, large bruises on his shoulders and legs (might have been from fractured bones).
He said that he was known as Tu Bac Ky (Tu from Northern Vietnam), 62 years old, and was originally from Thanh Hoa Province.
He said that the demonstrators were initially peaceful, but after the rapid-response police force physically restrained a number of them, the remaining demonstrators started to try to free the victims and the police assaulted them. A few thousand additional citizens came to the scene and the entire group of demonstrators were no longer in the same peaceful mood as at the beginning of the incident.
Last night, after his fellow demonstrators rescued him, they took him to a hospital. There has been no update on his situation since then.

Activist Nguyen Thuy Hanh: they beat me at the police station.
“‘We’ll beat you to a pulp in here!’, they said as they pushed me into the room”.
At nearly 1:00 am on June 11, 2018, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hanh, an activist, was released from the police station of Trung Tu Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi City.
In a live streaming video posted by Ms. Mai Phuong Thao, another activist, Ms. Hanh blamed the police for her face and neck wounds, the consequence of their beating her after they took her to their station.
Mrs Nguyen Thuy Hanh is a well-known human rights advocate in Hanoi. She and several others were arrested at the King Ly Thai To Monument on June 10, 2018 during a protest against the laws on special economic zones and cyber security.

INCIDENT IN BINH THUAN PROVINCE
The riot in Phan Ri, Binh Thuan Province, that started yesterday and continued today (June 11). Witnesses uniformly characterized it as a terrifying event. Highly excited protesters damaged the administrative center of the provincial government (“provincial people’s committee”), disarmed hundreds of police officers, and burned vehicles.
A journalist recently reported from the scene:
“A battalion, maybe even a regiment, of rapid-response police was dispatched from the South to restore order in Phan Thiet and Phan Ri. Everybody can relax: if the government did not resort to violence, unarmed people could do nothing to resist.
At first, Phan Thiet protesters were marching in a very orderly and peaceful manner. They started to react strongly only when some of them were arrested and beaten. People from my hometown of Phan Thiet are never belligerent. Most are fishermen who live near the sea and hardly pay attention to politics because they are preoccupied with making a living. However, when politics knocks at each door, they couldn’t help responding.
The political observer Quang Huu Minh wrote: “The local government along the coast has been negligent in dealing with the danger of destructive fishing (that is, using high speed fishing boats to haul in massive quantities of fish near the coast).
That strategy of rapid returns-rapid depletion has impoverished honest fishermen through depleting sea life near the coast, causing unemployment along 150 km of the coastline. The local government has not concerned itself with helping the people through rebuilding the fishing industry. One should note that the government has overlooked the issues caused by the Vinh Tan power plants’ discharges, including the issue of reusing dredged material. How much residual credibility does such a government have to make people follow its directions?”
Below is a commentary from the activist Trinh Anh Tuan:
“All the concurrent protests in the big cities have been peaceful. However, the Phan Ri incident involved the protesters’ moving against the rapid-response police. It was not clear if there had been provocation or orchestration by one side or the other; however, relative to big cities, a significant concern can be noted: the likelihood of violence is much higher in smaller municipalities. This is due to many factors. In big cities, the intelligentsia account for a significantly higher proportion of protest leaders and participants. Those are people who can keep enough of a cool head to provide a restraining influence in case of disagreement or conflict. On the other hand, in smaller localities where the average person’s education level is lower, the likelihood is quite high for more forceful reactions against the authorities. Many additional factors came into play in the Phan Ri incident!
The journalist Luu Trong Van conveyed in a recent article popular discontent with Chinese vessels constantly ramming and sinking Vietnamese fishing boats or the Chinese authorities demanding ransom from Vietnamese fishermen in exchange for their captured fishing boats!
Now we will cite the prime reason. The Vinh Tan 2 power plant is located in Phan Ri, the seat of the government of Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province, This power plant’s discharges have been so polluting that three years ago local residents blocked highway traffic in protest and staged a violent confrontation with the police. The Binh Thuan provincial government did not want to learn from this. Instead of solving the problem, they chose to imprison the protesters. The people’s suppressed resentment kept building up until a terrible explosion occurred.”
The political researcher Jonathan London wrote:
“Không có nước nào mà biểu tình được xem là phương án tốt nhất để giải quyết những vấn đề lớn và quan trọng trong xã hội From any perspective, we cannot ignore this evident truth: without transparency, the people will not readily accept major decisions affecting security, the economy, or society will cause discomfort to the people. Such major decisions should be discussed and analyzed openly.
Therefore, it is important to stay calm in a highly charged atmosphere. It is important to tell the early symptoms from the root causes. After spending more than 20 years on research about Vietnam, I can see clearly that the Vietnamese want more stable progress for their nation; they want and increased level of transparency, equitability and security that matches the country’s social values.
Not a single country views protests as the best solution to major societal issues.”
P/s: Violence did take place 3 years ago.

At 2:00 pm on June 11, the government (people’s committee) of Binh Thuan Province held a press conference to disseminate information on the disruption of the peace and vandalism of the province’s administrative center by a group of young men. However, the government representatives gave out no information. Instead, the event was for the Information Control Committee to issue its directions on restricting information dissemination!
Now all the roads to downtown Phan Thiet have been blocked.
In the evening of June 11, the Rapid-Response Police (K20) Headquarters (part of the Public Security Ministry) dispatched reinforcements to restore order in Binh Thuan.
At 9:30 pm on June 11, in front of the government’s provincial administrative center, the two sides were eyeing each other while exercising self control for the time being. The crowd was getting bigger and bigger!
10:30 pm: Binh Thuan residents reported that power had been cut in Phan Ri, Chi Cong and Lien Huong.
11:30 pm: a reporter of Binh Thuan News reported that the police had arrested additional participants in yesterday’s protest.
12:00 am on June 12: Order was restored.
After a devastating battle in Phan Thiet, pieces of broken glass were strewn on the streets and the street sweepers who had started to clean up suffered cuts to their hands!
Late night news: Tomorrow morning, the Communist Party Secretary of Binh Thuan Province, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, will be in Phan Ri for a meeting with local residents!
The people need a lawful vemie to express their views directly. Not everyone can articulate the reasons for their position and therefore taking part in peaceful marches serves the purpose of contributing to the enhancement of the country’s civilized status. The National Assembly owes the people a law on demonstrations!

When I got home yesterday, I felt tired and I had pain because I had not slept for many nights, I was frustrated and stressed during all the days I was away from home so I could participate in Sunday’s demonstration. I didn’t go on facebook, that’s why I couldn’t thank you all earlier for your concern about me.
Last night, when I walked out of the police station, I saw you all, you who have been with me in all the demonstrations since 2011. I was struck by everybody’s presence in spite of the late hour (past midnight) and the heavy rain. I felt bad for having caused too much trouble to you all, but at the same time I was indescribably moved. Only then was I fully aware of the significance of the term “teammate”. Now that I have just accessed Facebook, read all the inquiries, and shared ideas, I felt more faith toward this lovely life.
I affirmed that it was the police not of Trung Tu ward but of Dong Da district that beat me. When they brutally got hold of me in the neck to throw me into the van in front of lots of passers-by, I said:
“Leave me, I can get into the van by myself.”
But he became even more brutal and threw me into the van as he did an animal. He gave me such beastly beating that, defying the presence of three other policemen, a taxi driver told me: “What’s the use of talking to them. The police of Vietnam know no law!”
At the ward office, he dragged me into a room, closed the door and hissed at me: “You foolish girl! I’ll beat you to death!” “You traitor! Your Dad (referring to himself) is going to put you in jail (actually, he is of my son’s age). Without the intervention of Cao Vinh Thinh (another detainee like me), who forced the door open, he could have beaten me to death.
The most abominable thing was that, in the record, they intentionally referred to the injuries on my face as caused by clashes with civilians in the street.
Don’t you think you can frighten me away with beating and prison? No way! The most terrible thing for me is losing the nation to he nation’s eternal foes, being enslaved by those wicked Chinese.
Thanks again, dear friends, for waiting for me in the rain last night. Thanks, dear distant friends, for showing concern and sharing feelings from afar. Together, we will fight the danger of Chinese invasion, we will keep Vietnam for the Vietnamese.
That was Khuong, deputy chief security of Dong Da, who beat me last night, who also cruelly tortured Trinh Ba Tu in the case #HAEDC 5/4/2018, and who also beat Dung Truong. It was he, in the same brown shirt.

He is Nguyen Minh Kha – nickname Dau Dai (long head), and he is a victim beaten by Vietnamese communist police in a police station in Phan Ri Cua town because he got involved in a protest after June 11. Kha was born in 2000, and he was just 18 years old. According to his family, after the protest, he was arrested at home by Vietnamese communist police. At the police station, police from Phan Thiet province came to beat and to torture him until the evening and then he was released.
When Kha got home, he had shortness of breath and his body bruised purple. His family emergently brought him to a hospital in Cho Lau town (Bac Binh province) to check up. His health got worst, and his family had to bring him to Saigon for treatment.
Kha is a cause leading his family and neighbors to protest against police at Phan Ri Cua town and to ask for the fair justice for two day. This morning June 20, his family continued to protest, to besiege and to require police to be responsible for Kha’s health. Kha’s family is poor residing in zone 6, near Phan Ri Cua port. Medicine expenses are his family’s problems because of lacking money.
This morning, Kha vomited blood, his family is extremely anxious about his health problem.
Several tumors, saying that Kha passed away and his corpse was brought back home in Phan Ri Cua town, were not true. Nguyen Minh Kha is still in Saigon for treatment.
In Vietnam, besides Kha, there are many victims beaten and tortured by police. Kha is still lucky because he does not pass away yet. Victims who were beaten by police already passed away and their names are listed: Ngo Thanh Kieu (from Phu Yen province), Hoang Van Ngai (Dak Nong province) and to name a few.
In Saigon, Mr. Trinh Van Toan was physically beaten by police and then he got traumatic brain injury because he was objected to the special economic zone law and cybersecurity law. His health status is more terrible and he could neither move nor recognize who is who. These victims – Ngo Thanh Kieu, Hoang Van Ngai, Nguyen Minh Kha or Trinh Van Toan – never get the fair justice and human rights in a country where is controlled by police. In Vietnam, such victims and people are always the low-brow ones and never get protected by the law.
Stopping here for now, I felt nauseous and disgusted for many people who condemned on protests and conflicts between police and victims. Those who disgusted for protesters stood for heartless police and cornered protesters in the dead end. Those who have fake morality never know that in all protests a cause that leads to violence is derived from a responsible group of police. When people are beaten and tortured, they will become crazy if there is a calling.
It is true for a group of people to be on the same side with the strength – the government, but it clearly partially shows these persons are very degraded and filled with dirty and filthy.

‘I went to the police office as per the police’s written invitation, the moment I arrived I was transported to another location by car, they started to ask me questions then bashed me. They bashed me to the point I almost stopped breathing, they insulted me, they said: ‘F… you, are you going to talk’, I could not breath, I said, give me some time, then I will talk. They told me ‘I am from Phan Thiet police, I came here to work with you, not joking with you…’When I arrived home afterwards, I felt some pain, I could not go to sea [to fish[. The following day I tried drinking wine [hoping to reduce the pain] but the pain was still there, I went to hospital they said nothing wrong, just blood clots all over the body.’
RFA Viet reported, after this young man returned home from the police office, where he did not provide evidence that he had received 300,000 dong (about $14 USD) to participate in protest marches, his health deteriorated seriously, due to internal injuries. 8 hours after the above interview with RFA Viet, he had a stroke. His family brought him to Cho Ray hospital emergency, Saigon, but it was too late. His relatives brought him back home to prepare for his funeral. At the time of this report, he was between life and death, the chance of him surviving is very low.
His grandma said: ‘The government, is it working for the people, it was thanks to the people that they were elevated to positions in parliament, that they became sirs and madams, how can they bash people like that.’ She told RFA Viet: ‘[In the police office,] the police said to my nephew: F… you, if he did not talk they bashed his head, or hit him in the crotch with an upward movement. The hospital colluded [with the police], they said he only had soft tissues injuries, yet they gave him medicine for blood clots. The louts at the hospital, they were also afraid of the police, they did not provide medical certification, they said they needed a phone call from the police before they could provide it. If they are handling things this way, is it the same as they are killing people mercilessly, they are covering up to kill the people… They are the police yet they wear face masks to bash the people, hitting in the crotch with an upward movement, is this to kill people?’
RFA Viet reported that after the violent protests, Binh Thuan authorities sealed off the area [that means anything could happen in there without outside knowledge]. Independent media could not enter the area, if they could, any information provided would have been subject to political vetting. As a result, many problems that happened there could have even been outside the Party’s or the government’s control.
At round 10.05pm [15 June] the police of ward 13 Tan Binh district came to my rental apartment, saying I had violated the law on temporary stay. They brought me to Tan Binh ward 15 police office. 6 uniform police were in the room with me. I told them I had all the valid papers for my temporary stay, but was not given the chance to present them. I refused to pay an administrative fine and sign the police report. That was when a policeman who introduced himself as from HCM City entered the room. He slapped me and said ‘you are already in here [the police office], yet you’re still pig-headed.’ I knew that I was in a tiger den, I could not do anything, I decided to exercise my right to remain silent. A policeman opened his phone and asked me if the Fb page Nguyen Tin belonged to me. I said I did not use Fb. He slapped me. I maintained I did not use Facebook. Another policeman entered the room, with a gentle manner, he told me: ‘I can work with you in two ways, the gentle way if you cooperate, or we will use the law of the jungle with louts like you. I was now surrounded by the police, they bashed me in the head, forced my neck to the side to take my photos. They asked for my password to access my phone. I refused, evoking my right to mail privacy, requesting them to respect citizen rights. I was then at the receiving end of a lot of bashing, punching, elbowing. (video at 4’ ). At around 5am [the following day], I was moved to another room. By then I was already bashed a lot, I asked for a lawyer. A policeman said ‘If a lawyer is in here, no difference, he will just be bashed like you.’ (video at 6.15′). At this point, other policemen left, except for two of them in the room. One named Quan locked the door, then, without saying a word, they started to bash me continuously. One asked me ‘You going to work with us or not.’ The other one, he was the person who bashed me most, said to his colleague: ‘If he is not, kill him. (video at 7.03’). At that point, I was no longer afraid. He said after 5 days since he was detained on 15 June, his health has not recovered.

In a clip recording the demonstration at The Duc Ba Cathedral on May 8, I noticed a man. He looked like any other men in his striped T-shirt, cap and a mask on his face. In this dressing style, I evidently couldn’t identify him.
He had a big phone in hand and was apparently doing an important task. He seemed to be giving commands to somebody. As he saw a woman holding a paper banner with a slogan requesting environmental protection, he snatched it off and threw it into a van.
Now I have identified you as an anti-demonstration officer. But why weren’t you dressed in uniform? Why were you wearing a medical mask? Did you fear pollution? Probably not, since you were fighting those who fought against environmental pollution You were probably wearing a mask to hide your shame while performing a shameful task. You may very well hide from me and many others, but your wife and children and your parents could certainly identify you in this clip. You could be identified not only by your relatives, but also by your colleagues, by heaven and earth and by yourself. They all saw you snatch away the white banner with the drawing of a nice fish on it. They saw you show power against the women who asked for a clean environment. That environment was being polluted, causing death to fish, shrimp and other sea creatures. Your wife would not buy food from the market any more, lest she would cook poison for you, your children and your mother. They protested so that your children would enjoy healthy meals at school. They spoke up so that you would have uncontaminated lobsters and groupers to go with your wine.
You are fighting those who want to protect you and your family. You are fighting human conscience. You are fighting decent people. You are fighting your own wife and children and parents … Nobody could see your face but you will recognize yourself in the mirror and see how terrifying it is. Your wife will be scared by the face behind the mask. Your children will be obsessed by the face behind the mask. You are wearing a face that you want to hide from everyone, for you are doing a mean, cowardly and shameful task.
You may want to hide it behind many layers of masks, but it will be impossible. From now on, with or without masks, you will always be wearing the most frightening face, the face of a terror sower, of a conscience killer.

Today, on June 22, 2018, at 16:00 ICT (Vietnam time zone) or 5:00AM (New York time), policemen – Thinh and Minh – went into Parish Committee Chairman (PCC) Hua Phi’s house in Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province in order to issue “an invitation letter” requiring Mr. Phi to come to a the local office for a ”meeting”.
After that, at 19:00 ICT (7:00 pm ICT), while PCC Hua Phi was having dinner, a man who declared himself as a police of Hiep Thanh commune mentioned to such an invitation letter. Then Mr. Phi opened the door, and in a sudden there were about 10 people covering Mr. Phi’s head with bag. These people not only brutally beat Mr. Phi into unconsciousness but also had his beard cut. Mr Phi’s neighbors reported to Mr. Phi’s family to bring him home.
We directly talked to Mr. Phi’s family, and they are very anxious about his health and intended to urge a car to take Mr. Phi to emergency, but they are not sure if policemen were still around the house.
The United Vietnam Domestic and Oversea Council immediately informed the foreign diplomats about case of the Vietnamese Communist Party’s terrorist case against a religious dignitary of the Vietnam Union of Religions.
We strongly condemn brutal and inhuman actions on a citizen and religious dignitaries while they have no self-defense weapon. Mr. Phi only tried to fight for freedom of religion and safety for the whole country of Vietnam and to have his own voice of human rights. Mr. Phi is the head of Nhon Sanh (Human) Representative Office of Tay Ninh Caodaism, and he does not belong to the governmental Caodaism. We will update the news if we have any further information.

Dear Professor Ha
As I am writing this letter, I can’t stop crying and thinking about you. On Jun 17, 2018, I cried because I felt so lonely, being abandoned in the Tao Dan concentration camp and having to face the frightening people called “the people’s police”. I am not angry with you. My anger should be directed to those who insulted me as a human and used physical force against me. I am the monitor of class 17/2, Linguistics Department of the HCM University of Social Sciences and Humanities. I always do my best to bring joy and motivation to my classmates. I always do my best to serve as link between my classmates, the teaching staff and the administrative employees. This is currently the month of final exam and I am getting ready to write letters of thanks to all our professors. We, all students of class 17/2, pride ourselves for being the most hardworking, most united and most successful in our academic achievements. Please check with Prof. Triet, Prof. Trieu, Prof. Hanh and Prof. Nguyen, who teach our class. In fact, I would like to identify myself as a good student you can be proud of and a responsible class leader. I am actually not the “prostitute”, “ the counter-revolutionary person”, “the kicked-away student” … as accused by the “people’s policemen”.
Dear professor, only you can rescue me now.
Policeman 1: “I will ask the Vice President to come here.”
Dear professor, when I saw you I shed tears of joy because I knew you would rescue me for this frightening place. But …
Policeman 1 (in a threatening tone): Here is your student, a traitor. Look at what she’s doing, Encouraging people to demonstrate, guiding them to deal with the police …
Policeman 2: You, prostitute. You can’t be class leader! I despise you!
Policeman 3: (trying to calm me down) Be co-operative and you’ll be released. We won’t harm you, so you won’t need a lawyer.
Ha: (in tears, looking at her teacher) Professor, only you can rescue me now. Will you call Attorney Tran Vu Hai and Attorney Le Cong Dinh. Tell them I am arrested. Here are their telephone numbers.
Professor: (remaining silent)
Ha (crying even louder) I am working in the Law field. I am entitled to having an attorney … You can ask my former professors at the Hanoi University of Law. They will remember me as a good student. All my professors used to love and praise me as a good student. I believe if they were here, they’d rescue me. But here I am, your student. I need you. Please, look at me. Do I look like a naughty student? Please don’t remain silent. What you need do is just call my attorneys. Just notice them. I’ll be grateful to you all my life.
Policeman 1: No need of an attorney here. This is not a crime investigation. An attorney will not be admitted here. That is a useless thing to do.
Professor: I don’t know anything about legal matters.
Ha (in tears, helpless) Please, professor. Only you can rescue me. One of your students was raped by a reporter from Tuoi Tre Newspaper. The teaching staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities spoke up in her defense and my attorney defended her rights. I am another of your students, Why don’t you speak up for me, as you did for the other student. Please call my attorney and tell him I’m here.
Policeman 3: How tiring this girl is! Ready to sign?
Ha: (quietly looking at her professor)
Policeman 4: (slapping Ha) Won’t you co-operate? Say again those 3 words “ask for attorney” and I will slap your mouth till it breaks.
Professor (silent)
Ha: Professor, I was not hurt by that policeman who slapped me, but I was hurt because you did not defend me, you did not embrace me, you did not protect me. You remained silent in front of a violation against human dignity, an act of violence against the human body by the police of district 1. You will probably not forget my miserable face at Tao Dan concentration camp. Why did you sign the readily-prepared document? Why did you tell me you didn’t know anything about law but you trust them instead of me, your good student. Why did you turn your back to me? Please answer my questions or email me at htruong692669@protonmail.com. I believe that you could not help me at the presence of the police. My other professors at the University of Law used to secretly defend and protect me. The police beat me, insulted me, but I didn’t feel hurt because they were doing their duty. But it grieves me that my professor did not defend or protect me. Professor, only you can rescue my feeble soul. Please tell me your true thoughts. Do you feel sorry for me? I just need that to comfort me. Thank you. I will always feel proud of being a student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Department of Linguistics.

CITIZENS OF VIETNAM BEING SEVERELY TERRORIZED BY THE POLICE
PLEASE ACT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, IN THE NAME OF HUMAN RIGHTS
Consulate of ____________, Saigon, Vietnam
Dear Mr. or Mrs. Consul
Your Excellency,
I am Mai Duong, US citizen, living in Texas, USA. Several of our Facebook friends have been detained, tortured and terrorized since June 10, 2018 when they participated in a peaceful demonstration in Saigon, also known as Ho chi Minh city, Vietnam.
The demonstration was to voice their concerns as patriotic citizens of Vietnam against the Vietnamese communist government who intends to further grant to the Chinese communist government further access and control to strategic territories of Vietnam (the projects are known as “Special Economic Zone” or SEZ. During the demonstration, the government has sent plain clothes police to mingle into the crowd and caused altercation, disturbances and violent outbreaks resulted in certain places.
My friends were not with any weapon and were brutalized by the police to the point they had to be hospitalized (and had to pay the hospital fees by themselves). Pictures of them being brutalized are all over the internet but I put together in this letter for you. Their properties (cellphones, personal belongings) which cost a fortune have been confiscated by the police. In certain cases it can cause severe economic problems because important data associated with their businesses are in the cellphones.
The police beat up these people really hard, men or women. Please see the following pictures.
After they have been released, the police has followed up with sending them multiple requests to ask them to show up at the police station (to ‘work with the police). In the past and at the present time, being sent to police office can mean ‘never to get out alive’ because one can be beaten until death. There will be no report in the news, no doctor’s reports and no one from the free world will know.
Basically these individuals have been in harm’s way continuously since June 10, 2018 and they need help.
As the official representative of your country, I urge that you immediately have

Hanoi – Vietnamese communist government increasingly attack democracy activitists.
According to VOA news, “Minh Hanh’s house was attacked,” Amnesty International said.
On July 2nd, Amnesty International urged Vietnamese government to act immediately to ensure the safety of labor activist Do Thi Minh Hanh, after the thugs used rocks to attack her house three times last week.
At Di Linh town, Lam Dong province, Chairman of Vietnam Labor movement, Ms. Do Thi Minh Hanh said to VOA:
“Last week her family was attacked 3 times, and there was one time she was beaten outside her house. She has been monitored for a month now.”
According to press release, posted on July 2nd, the Amnesty International said: “The local authorities of Di Linh town must act immediately to ensure the safety of labor activist Do Thi Minh Hanh.”
Pursuant to the Amnesty International, dozens of men threw rocks Ms. Minh Hanh’s house was attacked for the first time on June 24 in Di Linh town. Her house was again attacked on June 27, at this time there was another explosive thrown in, and the most aggressive attack took place on June 30. Ms. Minh Hanh also added:
“In these attacked, the first attack did not cause too much damage – a few things in the front yard were broken. At the second time, they threw rocks and explosive with petrol. The 3rd times was the most terrible one: all windows were broken, from front to back, including solar water heaters. My family has no shelter, and we had to close all windows.”
Ms. Minh Hanh told to VOA that she went back to her house at Di Linh town, Lam Dong province to take care of her father, two of them were at home during three attacks. She said that she called the local police right after the first attack and the one on July 2nd, but so far, no response has been received from the law enforcement agency.
Reasons why her house was attacked, Ms. Hanh answered:
“ The time I was being persecuted was also the time when the workers protested. As a member of Viet labor movement – I always connect with workers to follow up their situation. Perhaps that is why secret police have behaved like this.”
After being banned from exodus to Germany on May 16, 201, Ms. Minh Hanh said the she went back to her house in Di Linh town, and from that day her house is always monitored.
According to the Amnesty International, June 27, blogger Dinh Van Hai came to visit Ms. Hanh. When he left, he was stopped and assaulted by local thugs, causing him to break his arms and shoulders.
In 2006, Ms. Hanh co-founded the United Workers – Farmers Organization, an independent trade union that sought to raise wages for workers and improve labor safety.
In October 2010, Ms. Hanh was sentenced to 7 years in prison for “violating national security under the 1999 Criminal Law. In June 2014, she was suddenly released from detention four years and four months later.
According to Wikipedia, Do Thi Minh Hanh (born March 13, 1985 in Di Linh, Lam Dong) is a former student in Economics College, who has participated in labor movement and strike to raise wages and security. Ensure labor safety. She was arrested in February 2010 for distributing leaflets calling for workers at a footwear company in Tra Vinh to strike, and on 27 October 2010 was sentenced to seven years in prison, but was released on June 26, 2014.
Hanh grew up in a family where her grandfather was a senior communist, working for the communists in two periods before and after 1975, her grandmother was a martyr of the war against the French. Prior to 1975, Minh Hanh’s father (commando) had been imprisoned for nearly two years by the Communists, her father was a middle-class farmer, and her mother had been a former rural worker in the Republic of Vietnam. 1975 in Nha Trang, later became the local Red Cross cadre. Because of Minh Hanh’s grandparents’ achievements, Vietnam government considers Minh Hanh’s family to be a revolutionary family, but her parents are not members of the Communist Party. After graduating from high school, Minh Hanh went to Saigon to study at Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics.
Minh Hanh began to participate in social activities in 2003, initially just to help people suffering the same, wandering earn a living. Then, Hanh explores the social status of the internet. In 2004 Hanh printed her own pamphlets and disseminated calls for people in the country to stand up against the Chinese expansion that ruled the island. In early 2005, Hanh made the journey from the south to the north seeking people interested in the fate of the country and dissidents with the communist state of Vietnam linked with them to fight against communism, and she was imprisoned and interrogated at Hanoi Police department. Because there was no evidence of prosecution, after several days of questioning, she was sponsored by a family member and she was freed.
With her family in Di Linh – Lam Dong, after 3 month monitor of her family, she went back to Saigon and continued to work secretly.
